Former Vaudeville entertainer Jack Benny became a pioneer of radio and early television—his program ran on one medium or another for more than 30 years, from 1932 until 1965. It is considered one of the comedic high-points from the Golden Age of Radio and Television.
Aside from Benny, the cast boasted regulars like Eddie Anderson, Phil Harris, Dennis Day, Mel Blanc, and Bea Benaderet. Many went on to achieve fame in their own right on other radio and early television programs.
The shows presented here feature special guest stars Lauren Bacall, Humphrey Bogart—fresh from making their film To Have and Have Not and fellow vaudevillians George Burns and Gracie Allen.
